Hillel at UCLA strives to offer quality holiday programming for students. Below, you will find information about celebrating  Jewish holidays at Hillel at UCLA.

High Holidays
Not going home for the High Holy Days? Hillel at UCLA offers Liberal, Traditional and Orthodox service options for our campus community. We also offer free meals for the High Holidays. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services are held on campus and at Hillel, and are free to students with a valid Bruin ID.

Sukkot
Every year, Hillel at UCLA has a beautifully decorated Sukkah in front of our building as well as a Mobile Campus Sukkah. Students are encouraged to come by and eat meals, study or attend special programs in the Sukkah. Please check our event calendar for a full listing of programs during the week of Sukkot.

Simchat Torah
Join us as we celebrate finishing to read the Torah and start all over again with singing, dancing, food and drink.

Chanukah
Every year we host several candle lightings around campus and a big Chanukah party with homemade latkes.

Tu Bishvat
For this Jewish "Earth Day" or festival of the trees we raise awareness about the land of Israel and environmentalism.

Purim
For Purim, we typically host a megillah reading and a Purim costume party.

Passover
Passover is the marking of the exodus of Jews from their slavery in Egypt. We offer seders, Passover meals, and educational programs. Passover 2008/5768 at UCLA Hillel.

Yom Hashoah
Holocaust Rememberance Day is a time to reflect upon and raise awareness persecution of 6 million Jews in the hands of the Nazis.

Yom Hatzmaot
Israel's independence day is a time for Jews worldwide to celebrate Israel.

Shavout
Join us as we celebrate the giving of the Torah. Hillel at UCLA offers Services and Meals to students and members of our campus community.
