Tel Aviv University - Lowy School for Overseas Students
Tel Aviv University's undergraduate study abroad program allows students to learn Hebrew and absorb the fascinating land and culture of the people of Israel while taking extraordinary courses in English for full academic credit. The program offers a rich variety of exciting courses in Jewish studies, Israeli studies, Middle Eastern studies and some general courses. Academic studies concentrate on Hebrew, Jewish studies, Israel studies, Jewish education, Middle Eastern studies, Jewish leadership, internships in subjects that are relevant to Israeli society, politics, Middle Eastern affairs and propaganda. Classes are supplemented by extensive social activities, including trips across the country, lectures, seminars and volunteer work.
Ben Gurion University - in Be'er Sheva
The Center for International Programs at Ben Gurion University offers a semester or year of academic credit for undergraduates and recent college graduates. The program is designed for students who have a thirst for knowledge, an adventurous personality, and a goal to surpass the tourist realm. Course areas include anthropology, archaeology, Middle Eastern studies, environmental studies, geography and planning, political science, Hebrew literature and Arabic language, health sciences, Jewish history and Israel studies. Participants live with Israeli students on campus and have opportunities to intern and volunteer in the community in order to get first-hand experience with the multi-faceted Israeli reality and with Israeli society.
Hebrew University- Rothberg International School - in Jerusalem
The Rothberg International School, located on the Mt. Scopus campus in Jerusalem, offers a broad selection of courses for undergraduate students and adult learners. These courses are designed to highlight the rich history, fascinating present and challenging future of the region. Courses range from Bible to modern Hebrew literature, ancient Jewish history and modern Arab nationalism. The diverse academic offerings are complemented by a variety of exciting extracurricular activities including seminars and tours.
University of Haifa - International School
The Department of Overseas Studies offers a diverse interdisciplinary program in Hebrew and Arabic languages, Israel and Middle East studies, comparative religious studies, archaeology, literature, communications, sociology, and psychology, as well as an honors program in psychology, peace & conflict studies and Jewish culture & civilization, as well as extensive internship opportunities. All of the courses in the Department of Overseas Studies are taught in English and are fully accredited. Students who are proficient in Hebrew are welcome to take courses in all other departments of the university.
