In March I will have the amazing opportunity to travel to Jamaica with UCLA Hillel's Alternative Spring Break program. We will be going to a city called Petersfield in rural Jamaica with the organization Amizade, an organization that has been dedicated to worldwide service and learning since 1994, and the Association of Clubs (AOC), a well-established community organization. I chose to go on this service trip because I have a great desire to serve the community, change the world, and experience different cultures. One of the main reasons that I am so excited about taking part in this trip is that I get to experience all of these things at once. For years I have been interested in volunteering abroad, but never had the opportunity or the money. Now, I have a great opportunity to go with a group of fellow UCLA Bruins dedicated to the same values that I am. With this great opportunity, all I need is to fundraise some money to help support my trip to Jamaica. Participation in a trip like this can be expensive, and I cannot participate in this amazing opportunity without the financial assistance of my family, friends, and community. It would be wonderful if you can contribute and help send me to Jamaica this March.
Thank you so much for your support! If you want to learn more about the trip that I am going on, feel free to visit the website: https://amizade.org/site/jamaica/
