Raised in Orange County, California, Gigi graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she majored in Jewish Studies and minored in Hebrew & Israel Studies. She found a passion for Jewish life early on and wanted to pursue a degree which encapsulated her love for the Jewish world and Israel, which she is excited to bring to UCLA Hillel. She conducted research on the socioeconomic experience of Middle Eastern and North African Jews in Israel in her Honors Thesis titled “Mizrahim in Israel”. Outside of the classroom Gigi served as the co-founder and Chair of the Student Advisory Board for the Program in Jewish Studies and expanded her knowledge of the Jewish world with CU Boulder Chabad and Hillel classes. Her love for travel inspired her to staff Jewish youth trips to Israel and Europe and study abroad in Sydney, Australia. While not at Hillel you can usually find Gigi at the beach!
