One Life at a Time is a photographic journey into the individual lives that reflect the mission of Jewish World Watch. Surviving in the most dire of world regions, the people of Congo and Darfur are the embodiment of resilience, endurance and hope. Fighting the daily threats of hunger, rape and losing their children to local militia, they still exude dignity and a passion for life. Their stories compel us to witness the importance and unique beauty of every single life – and the ways that communities, even across an ocean, can make a tangible and real impact.
Co-sponsored by Jewish World Watch and the UCLA Center for Jewish Studies, Challah for Hunger, and the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
The Dortort Center is located at Hillel at UCLA.
