FRAGMENTS
Photographic Exhibit by Yale Strom
Photographer Yale Strom is a pioneer among revivalists in conducting extensive field research in Jewish and Rom communities, examining all aspects of their culture from post-World War II to the present. His exhibition Fragments consists of thirty-six black and white photographs of Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe taken during the years 1981-2007. The photo reveals aspects of Jewish life (Roma musicians interacting with Jews) before and after the Wall was established. These photographs address the revival of klezmer music and Yiddish culture in these communities.
